Out from Obscurity

Hey to anyone who views my blog! I'm so sorry for not posting sooner!!!!

Well a lot has happened when I started this blog. I got an internship, completed a math summer course, worked at my regular job, getting my photography pictures published in a photography magazine and babysitting my boyfriends nephew for the summer!

I know sounds like a lot but it is summer and I want to get a lot done. So first things first; my internship.

I am so lucky to have obtained an internship with Indigenous an online fashion boutique that specializes in ethical fashion with very high quality and unique pieces! I love being in an intern for Indigenous because as a merchandising major I am learning so much on what it is like to own your own commerce site! I mainly do the social media posts, blog posts and inventory set up for the website. You guys should check it out! Especially if you're into ethical, sustainable and fair trade fashion. I love it because it really is fashion to feel good about.  A lot of the products we sale are handmade and proceeds goes back toward the communities we buy the items from we also donate towards philanthropic efforts to help those communities succeed as well. If you want to check out my blog posts for Indigenous you can go to www.shopindigenous.wordpress.com . I also post on the Instagram page as well which is just instagram/shopindigenous. And if you want to check out the online store go to www.shopindigenous.com

Okay sorry for the plug but I just love my internship and what they stand for. The owner is also a woman named Lauren who I actually met my freshman year in college. She's awesome and someone every young girl or lady should look up to. She's smart, dedicated and loves what she's doing with her business. She's definitely someone I look up to and very thankful that she's given me this opportunity to work for her!

Inkkas I purchased from my internship. Handmade in Peru, Vegan Friendly portions of the proceeds go to the AmazonWatch to help protect the rainforest and it's surrounding communities! This picture was also featured on our instagram because our boss lady loved it so much!

The second thing is that I completed my second to last class this summer. It's called profit center merchandising or as we merchandising students like to call it " Retail Math". We need it in order to graduate and obtain our paid internship for class credit. Currently since I passed "Retail Math" I am looking for a paid internship in the fall for the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. Wish me luck and pray for me that I get this one I have my eye on! :)

That's all for now I don't want to make a longggggggggg blog post!! I'll finish up my summer adventure later!!

Peace, Love and Yamaste

First Blog Post!!!

What can I say??? Well I'm a merchandising student who has many interests in a lot of things and I'm just looking to explore the blogging world for the first time. I will be graduating college soon and like many college seniors I am terrified in what I'm going to do with my future. Though I kind of have many options and ideas but just don't know what road to take. I guess this blog can be a way for me to document my life experiences and how things turn up! So far it is the beginning of summer and it will be busy with my job, new internship and my summer classes! I'm am new to this blogging thing so please bare with me as I try and figure this thing out! ( I can barely figure out my own Instagram!) So I leave who ever views this an inspirational quote
